
Dr. Han Fangming
Founding Chairman
Dr. Han Fangming, the Founding Chairman of the Charhar Institute, is also Vice Chairman of the Committee of Foreign Affairs of the CPPCC National Committee and Deputy Editor-In-Chief of Public Diplomacy Quarterly. He grew up on the Charhar ranch in Hebei and named the think tank after his hometown.
Dr. Han has nearly 20 years of experience in business, government relations, public affairs, risk management and other related fields. Since the 1990s, he has been a trustee of large central state-owned enterprises and financial institutions.
He is also a renowned scholar in public diplomacy, international relations and Southeast Asian studies. He is a textbook author and an opinion columnist of major international newspapers and magazines.
He holds a Ph.D. from Peking University and was a visiting scholar at Harvard University.
