Pang Zhongying is an Adjunct Senior Fellow at the Charhar Institute in Beijing. He is a Professor of Renmin University of China. His research covers global governance and world order, international political economy and diplomatic studies. He is the author of Diplomatic Power of China, Globalization, Social Change and China’s Diplomacy, and Chinese Peacekeeping Operations. He received his BA in economics from Nankai University. He received his MA in world economy from Beijing Normal University and politics and international studies from University of Warwick. He obtained his Ph.D. in law from Peking University.
If you study, research, or practice diplomacy, you will know the two composition of diplomacy on an average base: Diplomatic theory and its practice. However, the most important element for researchers ought not to be theory but the experience of practitioners. Practice gave birth to theory. For a better understanding of public diplomacy, we must look into the execution of it. This book looks at the history of public diplomacy practice in China. This book is written in Chinese.
