Han Fangming Attends the 2019 Annual Meeting of China National Association for International Studies

Han Fangming, Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the CPPCC National Committee, Vice President of the China National Association for International Studies and Chairman of the Charhar Institute, attended the 2019 Annual Meeting of China National Association for International Studies which was held in Beijing on December 27th, 2019. 

Themed on "Great changes of the century and the diplomacy of China as a great power with Chinese characteristics", the annual meeting focused on topics including "Great changes of the century: international situation and global governance", "Development of theories on China’s diplomacy as a great power with Chinese characteristics" and "The innovation of practice of diplomacy of China as a great power with Chinese characteristics".

Le Yucheng, Vice Foreign Minister of China, attended the meeting and gave a keynote speech on the current international situation.

Professor Jia Qingguo, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC National Committee, Vice President of the China National Association for International Studies and Member of the International Advisory Committee of the Charhar Institute, also attended the meeting and delivered a keynote speech.

Professor Sun Jisheng, Secretary General of the China National Association for International Studies and Vice President of China Foreign Affairs University, chaired the meeting. 

The China National Association for International Studies is a national-level non-profit academic association which was voluntarily founded by teachers and research personnel in the field of studies of international relations in China. 

Its member units include many well-known Chinese universities with majors in international politics, international relations or diplomacy, renowned domestic research institutions on international studies, the School of the Central Committee of the CPC, military academies, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), International Department of the Central Committee of CPC and other units. 

It has brought together first-class experts and scholars engaged in international studies in the country. 

The Charhar Institute, as the only non-governmental think tank member unit in the history of China National Association for International Studies, enjoys a vice president seat and a council member seat at the Association.
