Zhao Kejin is an Adjunct Senior Fellow at the Charhar Institute in Beijing. He is a Professor of Department of International Relations of Tsinghua University. He is Deputy Dean of Tsinghua University’s School of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Deputy Director of Carnegie-Tsinghua Center for Global Policy. From 2005 to 2007, he was a Research Assistant of Center for American Studies at Fudan University. In 2006, he was a Visiting Scholar of Taiwan’s National Chengchi University. From June 2007 to September 2007, he was a Visiting Scholar of the State Department of the United States. From 2007 to 2009, he was the Assistant Director of Center for American Studies at Fudan University. He received his BA in education from Qufu Normal University. He received his MA in law from Fudan University. He received his Ph.D. in international relations from Fudan University. He is the author of Public Diplomacy: Theory and Practice (2007) and American Studies: Political Dimension and its Chinese Implication (2010). He co-edited China’s International Relations Study (2007) with Ni Shixiong and Introduction to Political Marketing (2008) with Sun Hong. He has published more than 200 professional articles and papers on related academic journals. He once led the project “Study of Thinking Research on Public Diplomacy of Think Tank”, funded by Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
