Duan Yuezhong is an Adjunct Senior Fellow at the Charhar Institute in Beijing. He is the Director of Center of Sino-Japanese Studies, President of Association of Hunan People in Japan and President of Association of Loudi People in Japan. He is Editor-in-Chief of the Duan Press. He is an Distinguished Research Fellow at Center of Japanese Studies, Peking University, a Visiting Professor of Capital University of Economics and Business and an Distinguished Research Fellow at Center for Overseas Chinese Studies, the International School of Tongji University. He received his Ph.D. from Niigata University. He is the author of Studying Aboard in Japan (1998), Research on Chinese Media in Japan (2003) and StudyingAboard in Japan for Modern Chinese (2003). In 2009, he was invited to take part in the 60th anniversary celebrations in Tiananmen Square by Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of The State Council.
