Chen Wei is an Adjunct Fellow at the Charhar Institute in Beijing. She is a Lecturer of Dalian University of Foreign Languages. Her research mainly covers diplomatic theories, public diplomacy and cities in international relations. She has translated The Sound of the whistle: Railroads and the State in Meiji Japan into Chinese. She received her BA in international politics from Lanzhou University. She received her MA in international relations from Peking University. She obtained her Ph.D. in international relations from Tsinghua University.
