Diao Daming is an Adjunct Fellow at the Charhar Institute in Beijing. He is an Assistant Research Fellow at Institute of American Studies, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. His research mainly focuses on China-U.S. relations, comparative politics and American government and politics. He is the author of The Purse of the State: U.S. Congress and Appropriations Politics and Deconstruct the Capital: U.S. Congress and Its Members’ China-related Actions. He received his BA in politics and administration from Nankai University. He received his MA in political systems at home and abroad from Nankai University. He acquired his Ph.D. in public administration from Nankai University. From September 2011 to October 2011, he was an Exchange Scholar at APCSS. From 2010 to 2012, he was a postdoctoral student and Assistant Director of Institute of China-U.S. Relations in Tsinghua University. From 2014 to 2015, he was a Visiting Scholar at College of International Studies, University of Oklahoma.
