Yue Yunxia is an Adjunct Fellow at the Charhar Institute in Beijing. She is Director and Fellow at Institute of Latin American Studies, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), and Professor and Ph.D.Supervisor in University of CASS. Her research covers Latin American economy and international trade and investment. She co-authored books such as Perplexity of Social Transformation in Latin America (2010) (which won Third Prize of Excellent Scientific Research Achievement award of CASS), Opportunities along with Transformation: Middle Income Trap: A Case Study of Latin America (2012), and A Multi-Perspective Analysis of China-Latin American Relations (2013). She won Excellent Information Measure Award of CASS twice, and "Expanding the One Belt One Road Initiative:A New Perspective on China-latin America Integrated Cooperation" (2017), a research project of which she was in charge, was included in "2017 National Think Tank Report: Belt and Road Initiative" Series published by CASS. She gained her bachelor's degree from Nankai University, and master's and Ph.D. from University of International Business and Economics, all majoring in economics. She is also a Visiting Professor of Beijing Normal University, Nankai University, Beijing Foreign Studies University and China University of Political Science and Law.
