Zhang Jin is an Adjunct Fellow of the Charhar Institute in Beijing. She is Associate Professor in Department of African Studies, Zhejiang Normal University, Executive Director of China-African Research Center for Water Civilization, and outbound Ph.D. thesis reviewer of University of South Africa. She mainly focuses on the issue of water resource in Africa, African economic and environmental history and regional economic integration. She published History of Zimbabwe (2013) and Regional Economic Integration in Africa: Thirty Years of South African Development Community (2014). She holds Ph.D. of history and was one of the first Ph.D. students who were sent to Africa as part of the “10+10” China-African Joint Exchange Program. She has been to the U.S. and ten African countries for academic forums and researches.
