Jin Yongming is an Adjunct Fellow of the Charhar Institute in Beijing. He is member of the Council of Chinese Society of International Law and Chinese Society of Maritime Law, Executive Member of the Council of Chinese Society of Japanese Studies, and Vice Chairman of Shanghai Society of Japanese Studies and Shanghai Institute of International Strategy. From 2001 till now he is a memeber of Center for Law, Shanghai Academy of Social Science (SASS). He graduated from Zhejiang Institute of Technology with a bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering in 1989. He gained bachelor's and master's degree in law consecutively from Kansai University from 1995 to 2001. In 2005 he obtained Ph.D. in international law from East China University of Politics and Law (now East China University of Political Science and Law). Later he went on to acquire his Post Doctor of plutology from Institute of World Economy, SASS.
