Jiang Xiaofeng is an Adjunct Fellow of the Charhar Institute in Beijing. He has been working at Phoenix TV as Assistant Chief Editor, Senior Journalist and host since 2007. His fields of interest are politics and world affairs. He has published a book named Getting Close in 2014 sharing his experience as a journalist. He gained his bachelor's degree in persian from Peking University (PKU) in 1996. He acquired master's degree in journalism from Hawaii University later. Then he pursued further education in Thompson Reuters Advanced Class for business news, Center for National Development in PKU and University of Virginia. He worked in Xinhua News Agency between 1996 and 2007, serving as journalist and an Associate Senior Editor and had been stationed in Baghdad, Iraq and Tehran, Iran. He has accompanied Chairman Xi Jinping, Premier Li Keqiang and Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi in their visits to other countries and has interviewed foreign statesmen such as Syrian President Baššār ʾAsad.
