Zeng Xianqi is Member of Foreign Affairs Committee of the Charhar Institute in Beijing. From 1979 to 1984, he served as a staff member of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Republic of Mali. He successively held the posts of staff member and Third Secretary of the Department of Personnel of MFA, Third Secretary and Second Secretary of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Republic of Burundi, Second Secretary and First Secretary of the Department of Personnel of MFA. From 1998 to 2002, he served as Counselor and Deputy Director-General of the Department of Personnel of MFA. Then, he was appointed Minister Counselor of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in France in the time span of the next four years. He also served as Counselor of the Department of Personnel of MFA from 2006 to 2007. He was Ambassador of PRC in the Republic of Burundi from 2007 to 2010. From September 2010 to July 2015, he was appointed Ambassador of PRC to Luxembourg.
