Liu Qingbin is an Adjunct Fellow at the Charhar Institute in Beijing. He is Associate Professor of University of International Business and Economics, Research Fellow at the Institute of Digital Economy, Distinguished Professor at College of Urban Sciences of Yokohama National University, Distinguished Professor of Niigata University, Distinguished Research Fellow at School of International Relations and Public Affairs of Shanghai International Studies University, and Adjunct Professor at International Center for Informatics Research of Beijing Jiaotong University. His extensive research focuses on macroeconomics, social security, economic growth, urban economics, Chinese economy, Sino-Japanese relations, Japanese economy, Belt and Road Initiatives, risk management, innovation policy, and public diplomacy. Together with Yang Xiuping and Wang Guohua, he translated The Image and Agriculture of Japan by Tashiro Yoichi and published it in 2009. He received BA in economics from Shinshu University in 1999. He obtained MA in economics and Ph.D. in development economics from Yokohama National University in 2001 and 2008 respectively.
