Li Wei is an Adjunct Fellow at the Charhar Institute in Beijing. Dr. Li is an Assistant Professor of international political economy in the School of International Studies at the Renmin University of China. Prior to that, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Institute of International Studies at Tsinghua University. His research interests include international monetary politics, Sino-U.S. relations, and Chinese foreign policy. His current research focuses on the politics of currency competition and the reform of the international monetary system. Dr. Li was a Visiting Scholar at the U.S. Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies based in Hawaii. He is the author of the book The Institutional Changes and the U.S. International Economic Policies as well as a number of articles on international monetary politics. He received his Ph.D. from Fudan University.
