Sun Xiaoguang is an Adjunct Fellow at the Charhar Institute in Beijing. He is an Associate Professor and Dean of Department of International Politics, Qufu Normal University. He is also a Research Fellow at Collaborative Innovation Center of South China Sea Studies, Nanjing University. His research mainly covers maritime issues in East Asia, international relations and international politics. He is the author of Japanese Politics and Diplomacy after the Second World War. He received his MA in international politics from Northeast Normal University. He gained his Ph.D. in history of international relations from Nanjing University. He is also a Visiting Scholar at Okinawa University.
