Xu Qinchao is an Adjunct Fellow at the Charhar Institute in Beijing. She is a Lecturer and full-time postdoctoral student in Peking University. Her research mainly focuses on diplomacy and national image. She is the author of The Dilemma of China’s Rise. She received her BA in management from Heilongjiang University. She received her MA in diplomacy from Peking University. She acquired her Ph.D. in diplomacy from Renmin University of China. From 2006 to 2009, she served as a staff member of the State Council Information Office of the People’s Republic of China. From 2013 to 2015, she was an Assistant Research fellow at the Institute of China Studies, Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences.
